We know that we can access information more quickly by digitalizing but we cannot observe that we are smarter than the old people living in the past. If we can’t be smarter, are we being digitized instead of we have been digitized?🤔 It is obvious that artificial intelligence technologies created by human beings with their own hands learn much faster than humans and can apply what they learn faster than humans. At that time, it would not be wrong to say that we fell behind as human beings in the direction of digitalization, or even that we were forced to be digitized.
We are quoting a small part of the article “The Effect of Digitalization on Transhumanism” by Marmara University lecturer Mahir Fatih Ünal in the 2nd issue of Isophos magazine. (Transhumanism; is an international intellectual and cultural movement that argues that technology and science should be used to increase human physical and cognitive abilities, and to eliminate undesirable or unnecessary aspects such as aging and getting sick)
“Digitalization continues to affect people and the environment they live in at a rapid pace. In this ongoing process, digitalization not only transforms objects but also transforms people. Therefore, people should be considered both as the center and a part of the digitalization process. On the one hand, people use technology to make life easier. On the other hand, he is struggling with the transformations he has created in every field of human and human beings. Man has lagged behind the technology that he has produced and what it brings with it. While technology progresses much faster than the evolution of millions of years, it forces people to transform in an unexpected way. This means that human evolution is under control. It is necessary for it to be acceptable and the necessity for man to intervene in his own evolution.”
