Design; It is not just the whole of the works that you can put forward as soon as an idea comes to your mind. Good design requires R & D, preliminary work and strong empathy ✌️ The Design Thinking methodology consists of 6 stages. Let’s take a look at all of them;
1- Empathy: It refers to the design that is shaped according to the wishes of the customer, not according to the wishes of the brand, brand manager or owner.
2- Problem: What is the main reason for us to change this design? What are the problems of customers we empathize with? It refers to the diagnoses for which we find the answers to these questions.
3- Idea: How should we solve the problems that arise? These ideas are; As a result of the designer, employee and customer meeting at a common table, more successful results will emerge.
4- Prototype: It is the process where prototypes are produced for emerging ideas. These prototypes are usually produced on paper in order to be faster, not necessarily in professional programs such as illustrator or photoshop.
5- Test: The resulting prototype is moved to a more professional environment and subjected to the testing phase. If the prototype passes the testing stage successfully, it moves to the next stage, the “evaluation” stage, but if it fails, it must be returned to the “prototype” stage. If it fails the second time, it goes back to the “idea” stage.
6- Evaluation: If all the results are as desired; The design is subjected to a regular evaluation to observe the solution of the problem and the improvement of the results.
For example; , You can empathize with the users by focusing on the problem that the order amounts of the users who add products to their cart are high but the conversion rates and order amounts remain at an unsatisfactory level. You can do design-thinking work that will improve check-out pages and increase sales👌
