1-The poor URL structure makes it difficult to be understood by search engines: Not Establishing the URL Structure and Not Redirecting Properly. Creating URLs with complex, obscure and unnecessary parameters will negatively affect SEO performance. When setting up the url structure, using lowercase letters and placing the – parameter between words will increase your level of intelligibility against search engines. Also, misdirecting or not redirecting (not doing 301 or getting 404 errors, for example) will negatively affect your website’s indexing and ranking.
2-Ignoring Site Speed, Excess Loading Times: Although it doesn’t look like much of a technical SEO item from the outside, it contains metrics such as Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Time To First Byte (TTFB), First Contentful Paint (FCP), and your website By configuring parameters that affect fast loading, it is a very important issue first for user experience and then for search engine rankings. Slow-loading websites cause visitors to leave the site and lose rankings. Also lack of cashing, shared servers etc. Factors such as these will negatively affect site speed and therefore negatively affect SEO performance.
3- Ignoring Robots.txt and Sitemap Errors: The robots.txt file is one of the most important files that search engines control the way they index your website and discover your pages. Setting the wrong robots.txt can restrict search engines’ access to your website and cause indexing issues. Likewise, creating incorrect or incomplete XML sitemaps will prevent your website pages from being indexed properly. Therefore, the robots.txt file and sitemap should be properly configured and checked regularly.
4-Ignoring Content Errors: Content errors should also be taken into account in technical SEO. For example; Content errors such as duplicate content, missing meta tags (title tag, meta description), missing titles (H1-H2.. tag configurations) negatively affect your website’s ranking in search engines. It’s important to make sure every page is optimized with unique, valuable content and appropriate meta tags.
